i just played a game called “Majka the nymph”, and it’s boring as ****! the story is silly, hidden objects are very hard to find since they don’t appear at all, many weird shapes that has no relation with the real shapes we know, and the game took me around 10 minutes to finish. man hidden objects games really gets on my nerves sometimes.

@mazen well mazen, i think they should not be counted as adventure games, but the point of such games are to be like that.in other words, hidden object games are made to be simple and somehow having the same pattern of events, and as you mentioned regarding the story thing, i strongly agree with you, because no matter what modifications they will make to the game, from story to gameplay, it will stay as it sounds, finding hidden objects!

and by the way, i feel that hidden object games are somehow an alternative of the dictionary and the most users benefiting from these games are the ones who needs to learn vocabulary. well, maybe people hate them because they are somehow educational.

i disagree that they suck ;) , but i think they are limited in terms of everything regarding to what the word ”game” is defined.

hidden object game suck :D One of the major factors in the decline of adventure games! First came puzzle, then hidden object. I know now they try to make them story based, yet they need to do much more to make them interesting.

regarding viggers, their is no one joining this group, i assume everybody hates this type of genre ;) ! but eventhough you can still join and express your dislike for such games. i guess every opinion, whether it’s with or against, is important!

to tell you the truth i’m not a big fan of hidden object games, but sometimes they are fun! and you can underline twice of sometimes ;) ! to me i think arab game developers who have no wide experience on developing more advanced or complicated games, must find developing such games of this genre is quite helpfull, as a start off-course. well that’s my opinion, i don’t if it’s right or wrong ;) !

two days earlier, i played a game called ”great secrets: da vinci”. man it was very boring, and the graphics were awful. there was only hidden objects, no mind games no nothing. i finished the game after 50 minutes and i deleted it as soon as i finished it. if you saw this game, turn back and pick another useful one ;) !

i feel that these types of games are really fun when a person has nothing to do or maybe sitting in his/her own office. i used to play these when i’m on my summer vacations, you don’t need to think about any tasks, missions, objectives, or anything else. on the other hand, i really think that they improve a person’s eye vision and sharpness, since some of the hidden items cannot be seen directly. most of the hidden parts are usually hidden or ”blended” with other items in the scene having either the same color or made by the same material.

i think these games can be done by arab game developers, even if they don’t have the required or advanced softwares and hardwares, but i think for a start these game are easy to make since they do not need too much graphics and images. i guess the important part is to make a good gameplay scenes and a nice plot, with some ”mini” mind games after each level.
